Helping you make the leap — and make it well.
I’m Tom. I help people decide the thing, build the thing, and show it to the world — coaching, websites and apps, film, photography and social. One studio, three jobs.
Every leap needs the same three things. Decide it, build it, show it.
And because it’s one studio, there’s one person who knows your whole story — not three suppliers who’ve never met.
Decide
Coaching and strategy for the choice that starts everything — changing career, starting the business, making the move.
Build
Websites, apps and booking systems your customers actually use — designed so nobody has to think about it.
Show
Film, photography and social content — so the right people see what you’ve made, and the day gets remembered properly.
You don’t need to speak my language. I’ll speak yours.
“Customers can only book by phoning me — usually mid-haircut.”
You need a simple site or booking system your customers actually use. Nothing more mysterious than that.
The fix: Build“The view from our campsite is stunning. Our website isn’t.”
A short film, a set of proper photos and posts that use them — that does more than any paragraph of text, all season.
The fix: Show“I know something needs to change. I just can’t see what.”
Sometimes the work isn’t a website or a video — it’s an hour with someone outside the situation who asks the right questions.
The fix: DecideDecide. Someone to think it through with.
For the decisions that feel too big to make alone — changing career, starting the business, making the move. Perspective, encouragement and honest questions, not lectures.
When I was struggling to let go of a secure career in law to pursue my passion in music, Tom was instrumental — encouragement, perspective and insight that helped me make the jump. Since then my music has featured in the World Cup 2022 and I’ve performed at BAFTA.
Tom’s blend of professional expertise and spiritual insight is rare and extremely effective. I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone looking for substantial, meaningful growth in both their personal and professional lives.
Build. Websites and apps people actually use.
Whether it’s a booking page for your barbershop or an app idea you’ve been sitting on, the job is the same: make it so simple your customers don’t have to think.
We map out how it should work on paper before anything gets built — cheap to change, easy to argue with.
A look that fits your business — and a plain-English reason for every design decision, so you’re never nodding along confused.
You get a working version to click through and share — so you can test the idea before spending money on development.
Craig Blaenau: a church that speaks Welsh first
The problem. A community church in Blaenau Ffestiniog with no clear identity and a site that only worked in English.
What I did. One identity, then a full bilingual website with sermons, podcast and events, Welsh first.
The result. One look across the site and every channel, in both languages.

Show. Film, photography and posts that do the talking.
Weddings, milestones, or the film that shows customers what your place is really like — plus the stills and social content that keep it working long after the day.
Film
Weddings, milestones, brand and venue films. Shot and edited start to finish.
Photography
Stills of your place, product or day — a library you can use everywhere, not one hero shot.
Social content
Posts cut from the same shoot, plus a simple plan so you’re not starting from nothing each week.
People who took the leap. Here’s how it went.

Real numbers, up front. No “get in touch for a quote”.
Fixed prices wherever possible, so you know the number before we start. If your budget is below these, say so in your enquiry and I’ll tell you straight whether there’s a smaller version worth doing.
Every channel checked, with a priority plan for what to fix first.
A strategy day: a full day together, a printed Leap Plan, a 90-day plan and a call at 30 days.
Fixed-price projects, scoped before we start.
Bigger projects are priced from a £250 day rate. The audit fee comes off set-up if you go ahead within 30 days. Not VAT registered, so no VAT added. Travel inside North Wales and Cheshire is included; further afield is quoted at cost.
I’d rather be right for you than available to everyone.
A good fit if…
- You’re at a turning point and want one person across the whole thing.
- You can say roughly what you want to be true when it’s finished.
- You’d rather have honest pushback than a yes to everything.
- Your budget is in the ranges above, or close enough to talk about.
Probably not if…
- You need it next week — good work needs a few weeks of runway.
- You’re collecting free advice from five people before deciding.
- You want the cheapest possible version of whatever this is.
- You already know exactly what to build and just need hands.
I’m not selling leaps from the sidelines. I made one.
A decade of marketing, design, content and coaching — and in 2023, the jump to building Ryland Studio. Here’s how the three jobs found each other.
Dwi’n siarad Cymraeg — happy to work, film and coach in Welsh, English or both. Based in North Wales, working across the region and beyond.
I’ve filmed services and events, built sites for charities, and spent years working in Christian housing support — if you’re a church or ministry, I already understand your world (and your budget).
Years in-house and agency-side sit behind all three jobs — so when a project needs a launch plan rather than another asset, you’ll get told that.
Tell me what you’re working towards. I’ll tell you if I can help.
Send me a few lines about the project — what it is, roughly when, and what you’re hoping it does. I read everything myself and reply within two working days.
If it looks like a fit, we’ll set up a proper conversation and I’ll come with questions and a plan. If it isn’t, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
Nearly there.
Your email app should have opened with everything filled in. Just press send. I reply within two working days.
