Your information, handled plainly.
I only collect what I need to reply to you and do the work. I don’t sell it, and I don’t use it for anything you wouldn’t expect.
Who I am
Ryland Studio is run by Tom Ryland, a sole trader based in Flintshire, North Wales. I’m responsible for any personal information you share through this site. Contact: hello@rylandstudio.co.uk.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, and what you tell me about your project — the type of work, timing, budget range and goals.
When you email me directly: whatever you choose to include.
Why, and on what basis
To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to plan and deliver the project. Under UK GDPR the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, then performing that contract. I’ll only add you to a mailing list if you ask me to.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t go further are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the project ends, as required for tax.
Who else sees it
Only the services that run this site and my inbox: [website host], [form service] and [email provider]. They process it on my behalf and nothing else.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. [If analytics are added: name the tool, say whether it sets cookies, and add a consent banner if it does.]
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Email me and I’ll respond within a month. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
